From the early beginnings in the 1940s, Al Mulla Group was the pioneer to introduce leading international brands in the automotive industry to the Kuwaiti market, including Chrysler and other famous brands at that time. In 1972, the Group formed an alliance with Mitsubishi Motors to introduce the renowned Japanese brand to the Kuwaiti market. The successful journey with Mitsubishi Motors continues to date, and now covers other markets in the Middle East and North Africa.

2006 saw additional expansion for the Group with the creation of a joint venture with Behbehani Motors. Known as Al Mulla & Behbehani Motor Company, the entity handles the distribution of all Chrysler International brands including Chrysler, Dodge, and Jeep in Kuwait. By 2010, the company added value to its brand with the acquisition of exclusive distribution rights for Fiat and Alfa Romeo automobiles. This spirited journey of expansion culminated in 2018 with Al Mulla Group being chosen by Daimler AG as the sole authorized distributor of Mercedes-Benz passenger cars, and Daimler Commercial Vehicles in Kuwait.

In 2024, inspired by our vision for the future of the automotive industry in Kuwait, and in an effort to further diversify its offer and portfolio of international automotive brands in the market, Al Mulla Group announced its partnership with a leading Chinese auto manufacturer, making Al Mulla International Auto Trading Company the authorized distributor of SOUEAST in Kuwait.
