Praveen joined Al Mulla Group in September 2017 as Divisional General Manager of Al Mulla Exchange, leading Exchange & Remittance businesses in Kuwait and Oman. His leadership was key in driving growth and operational excellence in these businesses across these regions. By April 2020, his portfolio was expanded to include Insurance and Fintech businesses. He was promoted to Director (Financial Services Group) in October 2020.

Praveen brings over 35 years of experience in Financial Services, Banking, Electronic payment systems, etc. He has led multi-country operations and delivered growth in complex and competing markets. Before joining Al Mulla Group, Praveen held the role of Chief Financial Officer at SBI Card (a Joint venture of SBI and GE Capital), where he played a pivotal role in shaping the organization’s financial and business strategy. His career at State Bank of India, spanning nearly 29 years, included several leadership roles such as Deputy General Manager, in both India and overseas operations in New York and London.

Praveen Singh holds an MBA Degree in Finance and has completed Executive Leadership programs in Project Management, Strategic Leadership, Fintech, and Disruptive Strategy from institutions like IIM Lucknow, Wharton, Oxford, and Harvard Business School.
